Christmas Eve was lovely... truly always one of my favorite days of the year... Usually I spend it a little skinnier but I'm not always 38.5 weeks pregnant! See below:
We had a nice, wonderful, relaxing morning. Belle slept in and Kurt and I did a few minimal things around the house and we chatted. It was sooooo great! Then we went to my dad's house around 4pm and came home around 9pm. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve but also nice to get home to the new house that I love so much (and lay down). Ahhhh...
I had promised Belle if she was able to stay up on the trip home, she could pick one present from under the tree to open. :) My parents always did this for us after we came home for our grandparents house on Christmas Eve. She ALWAYS falls asleep on the way home but this year was the first year she did not!! Yay, Belle!
Obviously, the present she picked out to open was her Snuggie for Kids. She's been wanting one FOREVER! It's really funny because she asks me all the time for one and I always pretend like I think they are pointless and that she wouldn't use it. So she acts funny in the stores and always says, "Goodbye, Snuggie!!!! I'll never forget you!!!!!" Needless to say, it was the first Christmas present I bought for her and it spent many weeks in the trunk of my car (great hiding place).
She's now lying in bed totally awake (it's 11:30pm). She can't sleep because it's windy and she keeps thinking the wind is Santa :) I'm so sad for the day she doesn't believe in Santa anymore (I know it's coming - she's 8 after all) but for now I'm just loving it and going along with her. She even wrote him a super cute thank-you note and left it with his cookies.
Mucho love to all! Have a great Christmas Day! For those of you with little ones, soooo excited for all of you to watch the lil peanuts get beyond excited over Santa's offerings! :) :) :)
Many hugs and loves!
