Okay, really....seriously this time. TOMORROW'S THE DAY! YAY!
I did get FINALLY good news today!! FarmBaby is FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY facing the right way. Before he was looking up, like toward my stomach, ensuring I would have horrible back labor and he'd have a hard time finding his way out. The midwives aren't too pleased with this position and try to convince me to crawl around all the time on my hands and knees. Hmmm...not so fun being huge crawling preggo. He's been this way since before my 30 week ultrasound and has never been able to make it back around the right way. The scary thing is they do their best to turn them the right way during the labor process and it is NOT pleasant.
So anyway, on Monday, my new accupuncture chica told me she'd pin me on the outside of my little toes and he would turn. I was like "Yeah right," since prior to this experience, I thought accupuncture was a total sham. Anyway, she pins me in these random places on my feet, legs and hands, then leaves the room. The baby was moving more than I had ever seen him move! I could see him SERIOUSLY trying to turn. IT WAS THE CRAZIEST THING IN THE FREAKING WORLD. I AM SERIOUS. I could actually see him turn onto his side. He moved all night that night; it was crazy. I really thought he had made it all the way over because I could no longer feel and see contant little feet moving on the top of my stomach. It seemed like I could see more of his body moving like either his back or his little bootie! I couldn't believe it either. Anyway, so I go in today, and miraculously, he was facing down. He had really made it all he way around. I'm in shock! Him making it around had made him drop so much more too. I am a lot more comfy and wish I had gone to see this woman SOONER! Also, I have never been able to dilate since he wasn't able to drop!! So I did go back and get pinned again today. He has been moving a ton and I've been having a lot of contractions...pretty strong but far apart. We'll see what happens but in about 7.5 hours, I'll already be on my way there anyway :) I am feeling much more relaxed since my accupuncture though and my back feels great. Yay! My friend, Heather, does accupuncture all the time and of course I like to tease her about voodoo medicine. :) I stand corrected...sorry, Heather!!!!! :) I'm still disappointed there was no tie dye or beaded curtains at the place, though. I can't wait to think of a random ailment to go back and get pinned!
Even post-puncture, I'm still super scared of needles (childish, I know) though and dreading tomorrow's I.V. YIKES! HELP!!
So, yes I'm scared but so excited to FINALLY meet the sweets!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) Thanks to everyone for the sweet notes, calls and texts!!
I'll keep everyone posted via Blackberry and post a pic up here when I can. I will post to the blog tomorrow (I hope) about FarmBaby and put up a pic hopefully by Saturday night. I will upload a pic to facebook, though, from my blackberry. I'm not planning to take my computer to the hospital because I already have 3 bags to take, plus my huge handbag, plus my pillow and blanket. I told you I travel heavy. LOL.
I really need a name, too! I guess we'll be trying the "what name does he look like?" method after he arrives!
Chat soon!!!!!!!
Mucho, mucho love,
~Us :)
